SOME TYPES OF MODIFIED AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS IN VIETNAM:

1) Air-cooled packaged (Air Conditioners)

a / Air Conditioner:

* Window Conditioner (Window):
- Advantages:

Simple assembly.
- Disadvantages:

 Structural structure is distorted because many air conditioning units surround the house.
 Dependent on outside temperature: High outside temperature is reduced or power may stop for some time.
Low efficiency, no power savings.
Low reliability and durability (compared to the central compressor type compressors, the life expectancy is only 1/10).
Limited operating range, less efficient.
* Split air conditioner:

The feature is similar to a window air conditioner.

It does not deform the structure of windows, but has the disadvantage of not getting fresh air (oxygen-rich air).

b / V.R.V (Valueable Refrigeration Volume):

- Advantages:

Very convenient to install for high rise buildings, an outdoor unit mounted on the roof can be installed 8 or even 16 air conditioners (Indoor Unit)
Power saving.
- Disadvantages:

Compared with other systems, the cost of the V.R.V system is relatively high.
Capacity is limited, so for buildings with large heat load, many V.R.V systems must be installed
Because the outdoor unit is cooled by air, the outside temperature affects the power.
Corrective maintenance.
2) Water cooled packaged air conditioners:

- Advantages:

Cooling capacity is stable thanks to cooling system is water coolant.
- Disadvantages:

Fitting for tall buildings is limited because the fan head blowing through the indoor unit is low, the flow is small, the wind pipe occupies a lot of space should be forced to fan.
3) Water chiller + Fan coil units:

- Advantages:

The cooling capacity is very stable thanks to the cooling system is water.
Cooling goes to water-filled rooms, so pipelines can slip into the Pipe shafts so it does not affect the aesthetics of the building.
The type of air cooled chiller is suitable for placing on the roof of high buildings.
Water coolers are installed in the basement.
